Tune in October 12 at 6 PM on the football field for the new and upcoming powderpuff game. Two teams will be going head to head to be crowned the first Wellington-Napoleon powderpuff champion. If you don’t know what a powderpuff game is, powderpuff is where the girls play flag football and the boys are the cheerleaders or coaches. The game will be 8 minute quarters and the clock will run unless there's a touchdown or timeout. Admissions are $3 a person and donations will be happily accepted. Each of the teams will have one practice to get ready for the battle of their lives!

The Pink team’s coaches are Trotter Hughes, Jack Wiggins, and Jagger Hager. Pink team’s cheerleaders are Haden Terrill, Brody Best, and Jonny Hampton. The players will be Charlesie Lamphier, Lillian Beals, Morgan Hamilton, Mealanie Thornburg, Corinna Utterback, Isabelle Miller, Cadence Rogge, Kiersten Lee, Sarah Chaplin, Sophia Henry, and Maddie Sims.

The Blue team's coaches are Maddox Blystone, Joe Heater, and Levi Wallace. Blue teams cheerleaders are Archer Gann, Braeden Gentry, and Wyatt Earnest. The players will be Brilynn Zykan, Kaylin Ellensohn, Raelee Rukavina, Ashlynn Meyer, Makayla Simsheuser, Isabel Lopez, Maci Zeysing, Kale Garland, Jocelyn Kirchoff, and Mia Hodson.

Jagger says that he’s very confident in my team and that we will succeed.” Both team’s coaches believe it will come down to a one score game. Joe Heater says, “I feel like we have a lot of athletic girls with good speed. I believe that Brilynn Zykan will be our star player because she is fast and strong.” Brilynn is just hoping she does well. Jagger thinks his star player will be Maddie Sims “because she has obvious athleticism and is determined.” Maddie responded to this with “We haven’t played yet but I’m hoping I can have a good game.”

Make sure you come out and have a good time next Thursday at 6 PM!
