Story By Madison Smith

Courtwarming is a week-long celebration consisting of spirit days, decorating contests, assemblies, basketball games, and a dance.

Here at Wellington-Napoleon we do all of these traditions. The dressing up, banner contest, and more. Every year each Courtwarming game always consists of a very large crowd.

Wellington had their Courtwarming game last Friday against Leeton. The bleachers were filled and students were excited for both the game and the royal crowning.

During half time the nominee’s were all brought out. Each candidate had their own moment of glory, with details describing their activities and things they do. After each candidate was announced they all were waiting for the announcement. Making the crowd eager on the news.

It then was announced, Both Senior Kaylin Ellensohn and Maddox Blystone won Queen and King. The crowd was so excited.

Maddox felt very happy when announced he won, knowing he would. While Kaylin was nervous at first, but really excited that she won as well.

After the game was then the Courtwarming dance. Both Maddox and Kaylin attended, saying their favorite part was hanging out with friends after the game, taking pictures, and going to get IHOP.
