The Chiefs are back at it again!! If you haven’t heard, this past weekend, KC made their fourth Super Bowl appearance in five years and are back-to-back Super Bowl Champions. This Wednesday, February 14th, Kansas City hosted the championship parade/rally. With so many snow days we had in January, our school decided it would be best to be in session. However, many students decided to head downtown to enjoy the festivities. The absences could be felt in many classes throughout the day. Of those who ventured into the madness, Joshua McClain, Lucas Waterworth, and Jack Wiggins shared some insight. All three senior boys were able to get great spots by the T-Mobile Center and right at the gates. This could be because they woke up around 2:30 in the morning. Charlie McAdams slept in a little and went with his dad around 8:30. This was his first time but he enjoyed the experience and would go again. Wyatt Earnest and Archer Gann were able to get right up on the gate and had a great view. This was his first time at the parade as well, and would also go again if the opportunity presented itself.
We have all heard of the tragedy that took place at the rally and send our love to those affected. Hopefully, the Chiefs can get another Super Bowl win and we can continue to have a celebratory tradition safely.
