Sage Bottcher decided to try something new and get out of his comfort zone over the weekend at the Craft Fair.
Alli Russell, member of the fair board, thought the Fall Craft Fair needed more of a “hometown feel.” This past weekend our very own Wellington-Napoleon student played at the Fall Craft and Vendor Fair. While Sage was not able to try any barbecue, Alli tried plenty and thought Mr. Claypole’s breakfast fatty was the best.
If you were there eating some barbecue and shopping you might have heard a familiar voice. Sage played his heart out Saturday for the Community Craft Fair. He played for about two hours. Before sage went onstage to perform, he was very nervous, yet excited because he wanted to try something new.
The crowd seemed excited for something new this year as well. He heard a lot of good things from community members. They cheered him on for every song he played. He played some unreleased originals, and performed covers from Morgan Wallen and Luke Combs. He also tried to play “Cover Me Up” by Morgan Wallen, but he said, “It wasn't all that.” We know you’ll get it next time, Sage. If you missed it and you want to catch the next one he plans on getting another show at the square towards the end of the school year.
