See You At The Pole

You may have noticed a small gathering around the flagpole this morning outside of the elementary side of the building. Perhaps you were even a part of it. If you aren’t sure what was going on, this was our yearly tradition called “See You at the Pole”. This fun event was created for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA). FCA is a nondenominational Christian sports ministry that focuses on Coaches, Campus, Camp and Community. This organization is run by Mark Dickey who I got to speak with today about it. “See you at the pole is a time for members of the community to come together and join in prayer for the school and the local areas,” Mark Dickey says. “We normally split into small prayer groups and pray together, and then finish as a whole group.” Ten people showed up today to join in a prayer. Typically, there is a bigger turn out. However, the cold may have kept people inside. See You at the Pole is run all across the country by the organization FCA. Maybe we will see you there next year!
