If you've ever needed anything creative done around the school, it's very likely that you've either worked with Ms. Travis or she's helped behind the scenes. Ms. Travis is behind so much in our school including pamphlets at games, posters around the school, and more.

Amanda Travis is the Class of 2024 sponsor, FBLA sponsor, Coach for both the JV Esports team, Varsity Football Cheer coach, and business teacher. One of her business classes is Graphic Design, which is her favorite to teach. If you've ever taken one of her classes, you know the environment is one that makes you always want to come back. Travis makes her classes relatable and comfortable for all students. "I try to create a cozy environment with the room aesthetics. I tried to set up good relationships with the students asking them about their lives, and what's going on with them. I try to make the content relatable and enjoyable." She's definitely accomplished both. Her room sports two futons, to help create that cozy environment, and her relationships with the students have made them feel more comfortable with her and made her more approachable. Many students highly appreciate all that she does. "She is one of the most relatable teachers and has the biggest understanding of students. She keeps the class lighthearted and enjoyable," says Jagger Hager, a Graphic Design student.

Travis wasn't always a business teacher though- she was the school librarian first. "I like working with the high schoolers better, and I'm able to use my creativity in classes, such as graphic design and multi-media." And she has. Travis has been ahead of the creativity game for a while, with lots of new things happening, and it's hard to keep up. Just one of them is her email. Her email features a Bitmoji, which is a small cartoon that looks like her. It keeps things fun and aesthetic in a system like email which usually is monotonous. She keeps things fun and fresh in her personal life as well. "My favorite outside-of-school activity is working out. I enjoy lifting weights and walking I'm actually currently training to walk a half marathon."

We here at Wellington Naoploen appreciate Ms. Travis more than she could know. Travis has been teaching for 10 years- and we're looking forward to the new years we will have with her!
