Hometown Hoco!

In the midst of homecoming week, everyone is getting ready for the big day. This Friday, October 13th will be the homecoming football game against Penney at 7 p.m. At half-time, the homecoming candidates will be escorted and the queen will be announced. Though everyone is excited about the game, most are excited for the dance. The dance will be held on Saturday, October, 14th from 7-8 pm. I sent out a little survey to see what everyone's plans are for the day.

Based on the results, the majority of the people will be going with a friend to the dance rather than a date or by themselves. The majority of those who completed the survey are most excited about the after-parties and the dinner before the dance. Many people believed that Breeze Bridal would be the winner for most popular place to get a dress, but surprisingly enough “other” won by 39% and almost tied with Dillards, which came in second at 34%.

On Tuesday, I got the chance to interview Jozlyn Brinegar about how she felt about her senior homecoming. Jozlyn decided to get her dress from Amazon. Unlike most people, she doesn't think getting a really fancy dress is important for homecoming. Instead, she thinks prom dresses are more authentic than homecoming dresses. Overall, Jozlyn is very excited about homecoming and has decided to go by herself this year.
