Story By Joe Heater

Next week is WN’s Homecoming and this is all you need to know going in!

The theme is Hollywood and every day has a certain movie that the dress up day corresponds with.

Tuesday - The Breakfast Club, wear pajamas.

Wednesday - Inside Out, Wear these colors: seniors - yellow, juniors - pink, sophomores - teal, freshmen - red, 8th grade - purple, 7th grade - green, 6th grade - orange.

Thursday - Pitch Perfect, wear your favorite University.

Friday - "Lights Camera Action," wear black and gold.

Something the Student Council is bringing back this year is the parade. It will take place on Wednesday, October 2nd, at 6pm. Following will be a Pep Rally in the gym with the crowning of the King. The Queen Crowning will be at half time of the Varsity Football game Friday night. Each grade’s candidates will have their own convertible, with a float for each grade, football, volleyball, and cheer.

Two of this year's candidates are Janessa Abma and Sage Botcher. Janessa is the senior class candidate and Sage is the freshman’s. Sage Botcher takes the time to work our school’s cross walk every day, and other than that he is part of E-Sports, Coir, and Drama Club. Sage is very excited to be a candidate and thanks the freshman for choosing him.  “I think it’s pretty cool, it’s the first time I'm able to be a candidate and I’m happy the freshmen chose me.” “I’m the crosswalk king, so might as well make me the homecoming king.”

Janessa Abma had a pretty cool summer, going through basic training for the national guard. She is also part of FCA, FBLA, NHS, and Quiz Bowl. She is very excited to be nominated, “I think it’s pretty cool, I was very surprised to be nominated.”

The dance will take place at Wellington-Napoleon High School at 7:30 PM and will last until 9 PM. The football game on Friday is against Orrick starting at 7 PM. We hope to see you all there!
