Story By Izabel Lopez

New York City is setting new world records this year with its dazzling display of millions of Christmas lights. However, when it comes to holiday cheer, nothing compares to the charm of small-town light displays.

If you're a local, you’ve probably noticed that nearly every house in town is transformed into a festive wonderland, covered with sparkling lights and seasonal decorations. I’ve ventured out to see these amazing holiday displays and returned with some of the best Christmas lights in our small town. To get into the holiday spirit everyone should drive around town to see these festive lights.

The Ryuns' House

The Ryun's are famous for going all out with their decorations, whether it's Christmas or Halloween, and this year is no exception. Their yard is filled with a mix of classic and fun holiday displays. You’ll find traditional touches like a glowing Nativity Scene, alongside playful additions like Santa’s sleigh perched on the roof led by a reindeer. The display also blends unique, festive elements, like a Santa statue praying at the cross. The combination of these different styles makes the yard a standout display.

The Hughes’ House

Of Course, the Hughes’ house is decked out in holiday decor and festive lights, reflecting Julie Hughe’s love for Christmas. This house features the classic colorful Christmas lights wrapped around the house but also has some stand-out decorations. Among the standout decorations are the bright, illuminated "JOY" letters that add a cheerful touch to the front yard. But the real showstopper is the giant tree made entirely of lights, standing tall and shining brightly in the center of the yard.

Now that you're familiar with some of the best holiday displays around town, be sure to take the time this week to drive through and get into the holiday spirit!
