High School Basketball

This Tuesday is the start of both high school basketball teams' seasons. “We are looking forward to getting the season started. “We have a young team this year that has been working hard so far.  We play a tough schedule that always prepares us for achieving our goals for the end of the season.  I know the girls are ready for the challenge and we have set a priority of getting better everyday.”  said Coach Hampton when talking about how he feels going into this year's girls basketball season. As a senior member of the girls basketball team, I’m looking forward to a fun season, and a last chance to play with all my friends out on the court. I also can’t wait to cheer on the boys this season for the last time.

Both teams take on Lawson for their first game at home. "I am really excited about this upcoming season. We have a lot of talent coming back and it will be a group of guys that work well together. I feel like these guys can learn a lot from the successful football season and continue to build on these successes, it will take them a long way. I saw a lot of communication and growth during football that I think will be very beneficial in our upcoming season." said Coach Hughes when eagerly talking about the upcoming season. Both teams are excited to get the season kicked off! Come out tonight to show your support, and be loud!
