Dreams Or Reality

Joe Heater is a junior at Wellington-Napoleon High School. He has been playing competitive baseball for 10 years. Joe has big dreams of playing college baseball. Here is a little inside about his thoughts about his future.

“I want to go to Tennessee!”, said Joe excitedly, when asked where he wants to play baseball in college. Joe says “I really like their environment and energy. They’re always in the College World Series. They have a good program, and coaches.” Tennessee is a very well-known college for baseball. This will be a very hard goal for Joe to accomplish, but he thinks he can accomplish it. Since Tennessee is so far away many people would get homesick. Joe doesn’t think he’ll have this problem.”I’m ready to grow and learn to do things on my own,” Joe says when talking about moving away. College is all about baseball so I was wondering what career path Joe wanted to go down. “I want to be some sort of doctor, I haven’t really explored all of my options,” Joe said. While this is a big dream, is it very achievable. Joe has always worked hard towards baseball, and he's not done yet.
