Bump Set Brilynn

Before the Wellington-Napoleon Tigers faced off against the Sweet Springs Greyhounds at their first home game, I got to sit down and talk with Junior Brilynn Zykan. The first question I asked was about how she felt the team was, going in. Zykan said, “The team is a good matchup against their playstyle, but overall they will come out on top”. Unfortunately, after a hard-fought game, the Lady Tigers fell 3 sets to 1.

I also asked her who her favorite player to set is. She answered, “I like setting Raelee because when she gets the kill me and her get so happy.” You can definitely see the joy in both of their faces after a kill when they huddle together and celebrate by yelling ‘bang bang”.

Despite their hard-fought loss against the Greyhounds, Brilynn was still optimistic about the team's upcoming games. “I feel like we will grow a lot from that loss, and the only way to go is up from here,” she says. I have a feeling the Lady Tigers really took that loss to heart and expect to see a rebound to dominate the competition.
