Last Friday, history was made. Over 4 years ago, Fortnite Battle Royale, had gotten rid of its Chapter 1 map. The Fortnite community was stunned. Many players were mad, even deciding to quit because of the removal of the map. With the release of Chapter 2, many players decided to quit the game since it didn't feel like the same game they all knew and loved. Over the years, there had been millions of rumors of the OG map coming back, but all were shut down. Then out of the blue, Fortnite began to release a tease by bringing the old map back. The entire world was freaking out about the news. Social media blew up, with every other TikTok video being related with Fortnite OG. The day the season was released, Fortnite had over 5 million players on the game all at once! That's the most they've had after a season release ever.

Many of our students love the new season. I asked Aaron Maples and Jackson Shaw about their thoughts on the new season. "I'm so happy the old map is back! My friends list has never been so full of people online before.", Aaron excitedly said. When asked if Fortnite should keep the same map, he said that it should be put as a game-mode, along with the other seasons. Jackson was really excited when the new map came out. The nostalgia felt so good when he landed at Flush Factory. Jackson was asked if he would still be playing Fortnite once the old map was taken away again. "Absolutely not, I hate the game without the old map!" he said angrily.
